This courthouse in Monroeville, AL played an important role in the film, “To Kill A Mockingbird,” by Harper Lee. Outside of this courthouse is a neat statue of three children by a park bench. One child is reading a book. Of course it is “How to Kill a Mockingbird.” One other child is “reading” over her shoulder and a third is watching.
The lighting on the statue make it difficult to get detail so I tried some fill in lighting with the flash on the camera. Here are the results
The courtroom used in the film was modeled after the actual courtroom in this building. A photo with just the available light worked out well to capture this scene.
